Case Study Solar PV Portpatrick - The Hills
"They kept their promises on delivery, installation and after-sales"
Installed May 2010
A leaflet on renewable energy, dropped through their front door one day by a local firm, prompted Dennis Hill and his wife to look further into solar power solutions.
However, the Hills, a retired couple who live in sunny Portpatrick, chose Absolute after further research, because, as Dennis explained: “I was interested in this technology and the fact that I would recover some capital from my investment thanks to the Feed-In-Tariff
“But the initial cost was a factor for us so therefore we were impressed with both the quotation, and product knowledge, provided by Absolute.”
The Hills’ installed a 3.15kW Photo-Voltaic system on the tiled roof of their single-storey bungalow... and haven’t looked back since! Dennis continued: “Absolute were excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. They kept their promises on delivery, installation and after-sales and were clean and tidy during the work at our house. In fact, they finished a half-day early.”
The Hills have already received a FiT cheque for over £1000 the period April – November 2010 and Dennis added: “We were producing around 1.4kWh per day in December, despite the severe winter conditions!
The Hills’ system cost £12,380.
